Introduction

Malaysia is a beautiful country with a total population of 250 millions with a diverse mix of ethnic or people group. The biggest ethnic group being Malay or the local called “Bumiputera”, which made up of more than 55% of the total population and followed by Chinese with approximately 26%, Indian descendents accounts for 15% and the balance accounts for the other people groups. Much like its weather, the people are warm-hearted and friendly.The geography of the country is being divided in two by South China Sea with the West side, the Peninsular, a federation of 11 states and the East side, the states of Sabah and Sarawak, occupies the northern part of Borneo Island . Its’ local time is 8 hrs ahead of GMT. The official language is BahasaMalaysia or Bahasa Kebangsaan but English and Chinese is widely used along with many other dialects.

Climate

Malaysia is a typical tropical country with its temperature hovering between 25C to 32C in low lands and 16C to 20C in high lands in most times. Its wet atmosphere produces high rain fall reading between 2000mm and 2500mm annually, sustaining the large and lush vegetations beneath its tropical rain forest.

Banking

The national currency is Ringgit Malaysia (RM). It comes in denominations of RM1, RM2, RM5, RM10 and RM100. Coins, on the other hand, comes in 1sen, 5sen, 20sen and 50sen. Local and foreign banks are plentiful and all are equip with ATM machines and ATM can also be found within most shopping complexes. Banks operate from Monday to Friday.

Medical and Dental Care

Public hospitals and private clinics are easily found in all major townships and cities. Both public and private hospital are open 24 hours a day.

Getting Around

The transportation system in Malaysia is efficient and complete. The mode of transportations in the city of Kuala Lumpur ranging from buses, cabs to trains. Ampang Light Rail Transit (LRT) station is within a walking distance to our premise. The Ampang LRT station is connected to the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. A lot of small towns and major city centres is connected by the bus. The bus also connected to a lot of shopping complexs such as Berjaya Time Square, KLCC, Midvalley, etc.

Food

Malaysia is a paradise for food lovers. There are various type of food can be found in Malaysia. Food ranging from Chinese cuisine, Malay cuisine, Indian cuisine, Thai cuisine, western food, fast food, Korean food and Japanese food can be found in the area of Ampang. Cafe also can be found in the area of Ampang.

Leisure & Entertainment

There are a lot of entertainment that can be found in the paradise of Malaysia. There are a lot of shopping mall along the Ampang Road till the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. There are cafe and pub which can be found in the city centre of Kuala Lumpur. Bowling centre, cinema, indoor theme park, etc can be found in a certain shopping malls. The PetronasTwin Tower is also about just 20 minutes journey from our premise.

Malaysia Attractions

Malaysia have a lot of attractions ranging from natural attractions till man-made attractions. Attraction that is around the city centre of Kuala Lumpur and Selangor are the magnificent Petronas Twin tower with its beautiful garden, bird parks, Lake Garden, Independence Square, Deer Park, various shopping mall, Petaling Streets, Central Market, Mines Wonderlands, etc.
